for Veterans by Veterans
Check Yourself Before You Check Another Veteran

At weServed™, we believe the Veteran community is one of the strongest and most resilient groups on the planet. But there is an uncomfortable truth we need to face. Too often, the harshest critics of Veterans are other Veterans.
We pulled some comments from Veteran's content across different platforms, and this is what we found, does this sound like a friendly Veteran community,
(Excuse spelling, these are directly quoted from the comment)
- “You're not in the army anymore pal. Give it up, pack it in.” (From a Guardsman Media Post)
- “Why Dident you die in the army ffs” (From a Rikki_vet Post)
- “RLC driver shurrup lad” (From a Stretch Post)
- “Hat or mitty” (From a Tegs Post)
Veterans are usually the first to say they are misunderstood by civilians. And that is true the transition to civilian life is not easy and the public often does not grasp the weight of that change. But when a Veteran shares something online, whether it is a personal story, a moment of pride, or a simple opinion, the first person to challenge them is often another Veteran. They are accused of exaggerating, of not being “real,” or of not earning the right to call themselves a Veteran.
This kind of judgement is doing real harm. There is an unspoken, unchecked group within the community that feels it is their role to police the status of others. They dismiss people based on how long they served, how many tours they did, or what kind of unit they were in. But anyone who stepped up, signed on, wore the uniform and served this country deserves respect. That is the line. And that is where it stops.
weServed™ is stepping up to put an end to this behaviour.
Our mission is to bring the Veteran community back together. Not to ignore our differences, but to move past petty divides and focus on what unites us. Because when Veterans are united, we are powerful. When we turn on each other, we lose that edge. We slide into bitterness, isolation, and bad habits that drag everyone down.
We believe in holding each other to a higher standard. Not to shame, but to sharpen. Not to criticise, but to challenge each other to grow. This is how we keep the discipline, drive, and pride we earned through service.
The community we build now will define who we become next. Let us make it one built on respect, accountability, and support.
You earned this. You derserve this. You served.
Together we will make the UK the best country in the world to be a Veteran
